Drawings/Photo with Dimensions for Extension Speaker
I fancy having a go at making an extension speaker cabinet for a vintage radio and was wondering if anyone has ever made one.
If you have, where did you get the drawings from? If nobody has constructed an extension speaker, could somebody be so kind as to send me a pic of theirs with the hxwxd dimensions please. Thank you. Brian |

Re: Drawings/Photo with Dimensions for Extension Speaker
Hi Brian, if you are into woodwork, have a look at Hobbies magazine pre 1960 (the mag for boys). It published lots of designs like that over the years.
There may well be copies on the world radio history site and in various "homemaker " style books from the 30's & 40's Use a speaker from the 50's or so as they will have higher sensitivity than modern ones. If you do get a very old set to go with it, note that they used high impedance speakers so you may want to include a small output transformer in the case Ed |
