Morphy Richards timer
I've long been a fan of old electro-mechanical timers and have two of these, model ROB 13. One has been in the family since new, my parents used it to turn on the immersion heater in the morning and the one pictured I picked up at a car boot a while ago. The timer mechanism is a Smiths unit. The switch contacts are large and rated at 15 amps according to the rear plate. Of course, the current is limited to 13 amps by the front socket. I still use both of these to switch on various bits and pieces around the house.
Anyone else have old Morphy Richards timers kicking about? Mark. |

Re: Morphy Richards timer
Hi, I have one of these with a 15 amp BS546 plug and socket fitted, although I don't think it is branded but looks identical to yours apart from the socket (of course).

I too have one, which was in regular use to start the dishwasher within the Economy 7 period; now superceded by a dishwasher with built-in delay.
