Guy, there is one little puzzle. I checked my copy of Farrow & Bell's BBC training manual dated 1974 and it does not mention under a listing of BBC local radio stations Radio Cumbria. Indeed I am not sure the County of Cumbria had been established in 1971 - I remember that I was living in the country of Lancashire very close to its northern boundary and that it became Cumbria in 73-74 time ?
