Default Unidentified Scan Coils

Hi All

I have acquired two sets of 110 degree scan coils (see pics) and I wondered
if anyone can tell me which sets used them.

Thanks

Rod

The second set are PYE. Not sure of model number but I could search all the Pye blue books if needed. At a guess, Maybe 700D or 210 series.
I've seen that first set of coils but the maker escapes me! John.

Thanks John for the offer but I don't want to put you to that much trouble.

First shot! 782220. Pye V110/PV110 17" portable 1959. Two types were fitted. These are the high impedance type. Low impedance are part number 782221.
They never fail. John.

Hello,

The first set are Pye/Ekco and look like the ones fitted (in the main) to the Pye 11 and Ekco T418 series of all-valve dual standard mono sets. They were also fitted in subsequent hybrid chassis up to the 67 chassis. Following the takeover of Pye by Philips, Philips/Mullard scan coils were used.

There is usually a sticky tape label with the part number (AF00050) stuck onto the periphery of the plastic moulding (very "Ekco").

Regards,

Dazzlevision

Brilliant.
Thanks guys.
I managed to find the sticky label for the first set which had fallen off and indeed it does say A.F.00050
What knowledge and experience there is on this forum.
