We should have had these photos first, it is obvious someone had a disaster removing the original dial. One other thing when removing the pointer make sure the "flats" on the shafts are turned so they are in line then slide the pointer off the shaft.

Thanks Nick and John, no I wont take it off until I have an original replacement, I am watching 3 at the moment on ebay that are cheap and a bit manky but they do have the original dial on them. Hopefully I will find one soon and I will update with pics when I do try to remove this one. Andy
