Required for testing insulation of Mains transformers in vintage Radios and Record Players.

John,
You might be better off buying one of the Chinese Victor VC60B+ insulation testers. They are cheap, battery-powered and will check insulation at 250, 500 and 1000 VDC. I have one to check leakage of capacitors, but they will check insulation on many things.

Just found one on amazon for about £35 pounds, seem reasonable.
I was astonished at the prices on rs, Iím really out of touch with new gear?

John I have a working Megger BM6. Since I have another insulation tester so this one is spare, but it only tests at 500v. You can have it for £10 plus postage.
