Murphy Chassis Blue.
Q. Has anyone ever had luck replicating the shade of blue which Murphy were given to spraying their chassis' with in pre-war models, I know they were still using it up to the A7.x series?
I have one which could really do with taking back to bare metal and refinishing, looking as close to manufacture as possible. T.I.A.

Re: Murphy Chassis Blue.
There are motor spares shops that will replicate the colour you want ,Halfords used to but not sure if they still do , you will need to take the chassis or a piece with the colour you need .Mick.

Re: Murphy Chassis Blue.
There are specialist motor factors that do paint. and will mix you up half a litre or an aerosol while you wait. They also stock the matching thinners, plus abrasives, undercoats and all you might need.
You'll have to look through several thousand sample cards and find the closest. David

Autopaint in most towns in UK will do as David says.

Re: Murphy Chassis Blue.
If you are good at brush painting, B&Q will colour match their metal paint for you. I have used it in unseen areas under my cars in preference to horrible underseal and it works very well.
