Ferguson 3v31 Loading belt change
Hi
Can anyone tell me how to do this? Covers off and can see the motor. Do I still need to put elastic band over loading posts to stop the loading mechanism going out of sync? Do I have to unsolder the load motor or can you do it in situ? Any tips would be great 👍 Thanks Mark |

Re: Ferguson 3v31 Loading belt change
I don't remember anything different from the 3V29/3V30 mechanisms, hold the guide poles back in the home position with an elastic band, no need to de-solder anything, remove the gear spindle and replace the belt. Put everything back in the reverse order. Try not to lose the small spacing washers

Seem to think I never removed the motor, just took off the circlip and replaced the belt.

Re: Ferguson 3v31 Loading belt change
I usually just remove one circlip, pull shaft down through the worm gear half an inch, move worm gear a little to one side, and slip belt in. Some cleaning needed if belt gets oily.
