Identify capacitors?
Any ideas? Manufactured by froylt and they look worse for wear.

Re: Identify capacitors?
They need to be Class Y in that position.
What set are they fitted in?

Re: Identify capacitors?
It's a Krechlok Kg golm radiogram, they are filtering out the mains so guessing class x? Can't find a circuit diagram for this model so proving tricky.

Re: Identify capacitors?
Class X goes across the mains (X is a cross)
Class Y goes from mains L and N to earth/chassis

Re: Identify capacitors?
Thank you, I could possibly get away with 4.7uf due to availability?

Re: Identify capacitors?
If you mean 4.7nF, that will be fine

And 1000V.

Re: Identify capacitors?
1000V only if you use ordinary MKP or ceramics. If you use proper Y2 capacitors, which you should if they are to provide mains insulation (that is, between mains and chassis), those are measured in ACV. 275VAC is a common value nowadays, I wouldn't use anything below that.

Re: Identify capacitors?
Thanks for the replies. Any recommendations on what to get? I've always used rs components in the past.

Re: Identify capacitors?
Thank you, I find those a little tricky to install being a pcb mounted type capacitor, any ideas?

Re: Identify capacitors?
I can't actually see any capacitors on that circuit diagram which would need to be Class X or Class Y types.
Are we still talking about the same capacitors? EDIT, I guess we're talking about C156 and C157? Depending on the voltage on the secondary winding of the mains transformer, 275VAC Class Y capacitors may not have a high enough voltage rating. 1000VDC polypropylene types are generally rated at 400VAC and should do the job. They're available with axial leads too.

Re: Identify capacitors?
Sorry, yes these are being directly fed to the rectifier

Re: Identify capacitors?
If it is C156/7 then yellow axial 1000V types will be fine (and easy to fit).
