Re: Grundig TK5 Resto
Thinking about it more I must have used the 100uF/450V as a replacement for the 40uF/350V (C32), need to check what I actually used for the 100uF/70V C36 replacement.
I have now found another TK 5 schematic that does show C36 as 200uF/30V this is the schematic identified as "Ausfuhrung II mit 5 Schalterebenen" (Version II with 5 switch levels). This schematic shows the LT voltage to be nearer 20V (-ve). |

Re: Grundig TK5 Resto
After double checking - C32 (40uF/350V) replacement actually was 47uF/450V and C36 (100uF/70V) replacement was 100uF/450V.

Re: Grundig TK5 Resto
I can confirm that mine are also 40uF/350V and 100uF/70V, both now replaced and this resto is now complete.
Look what I also found Original headphones for the TK5, they work surprisingly well Also received couple of extra BASF tapes, hopefully there is something interesting on them. |

Re: Grundig TK5 Resto
Ok, one more tricky question, does anyone have a Grundig key for this or any similar tape recorder, even if not spare, then maybe I could get some measurements please?
Attached is the only pic of the key this suppose to have that I have found, I'd love to have one too but don't necessarily want to buy another broken tape recorder to just get the key. I'll end up with two working ones for sure |

Re: Grundig TK5 Resto
I have one (Grundig) somewhere, which is not spare but when I find it, I will check its dimensions and see if it works in the TK 5.

Re: Grundig TK5 Resto
Found one key, not the one I was thinking of and probably not a Grundig key, it does not fit the TK 5.

Re: Grundig TK5 Resto
Found another 2 tape recorder keys but they do not fit my TK 5 or other similar TK's.
Still fairly sure that somewhere I have a Grundig TK Key. David |
