Default BT/PO Loudspeaker Amplifier No.11A

Not sure if this counts as audio or testgear !

Grey Wooden box with a carrying handle containing a switched gain amplifier and loudspeaker
( solid state discrete ) Most likely an earlier version of this one :

Does anyone have a schematic ?

There were a number of different versions of this, all known as the Amp 11A with the same spec but made by different companies(and in some cases with different circuits) for the GPO.
Any idea which one you have?

I have a later one as a bench amp(Fixed Skip find!). They are not HI-FI but do have a balanced input which can be handy if you mess around with balanced lines etc.

Indeed , the very reason I bought mine - For those times when you want to add lots of gain and "listen" to what's going (low level crackles and ageing EF86s come to mind )
I had been meaning to knock one up from scrap bits for ages, but then this one came along 'ready made' - Shame I have to fix it first ....

The case states it's a "loudspeaker amplifier No. 11A /AUD/2
Handbook No. AUD4156/2

if that helps....

Thank you for re-opening the thread, Graham

I have found one of these amplifiers, and would love to see a copy of the manual. Did a copy surface as a result of this thread?

Many thanks in advance,

Mark
