Staines Telephone Exchange
Saturday Live R4 12/3/11 did a piece on old technology and the sounds associated with the mechanical routing on an analogue exchange [Daleks to an 8 year old boy]. Worth a listen [at 40 min in] plus the rest including the brilliant 78 acetate about Fred Fenakerman-a Lancashire classic [at 48 mins] and backed with Nirvana!
