UK to foreign 'phone socket adaptors.
Can anyone remind me who supplies adaptors from UK to foreign sockets?
A good while back someone sent me a link to someone who did a range of adaptors for many different countries, but I am afraid I have lost it in the mists of time! Thanks Chris

Re: UK to foreign adaptors
You could try:
Telephone Lines, 304 High Street, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire GL50 3JF Tel: 01242 583699 E-mail: info@telephonelines.net I have always found them to be helpful and they stock a vast amount of telephones, telephone spares and ancillary equipment. |

Re: UK to foreign adaptors
They're widely available in electrical stores, and shops at at motorway service areas. EG, near to Leicester: Leicester Forest East, Donington, and Trowell Services.
Hope that helps. David |

Re: UK to foreign adaptors
Thanks, but I was referring to telephone sockets rather than mains outlets.

Re: UK to foreign 'phone socket adaptors.
Often those adapters ignore the need of capacitor in ringer sircuits.
The best may be to make it by youselves. Most non UK telephones uses common ringer and speach line (2 wires) and an adaptor will only be a plug. Using UK telephones in other countries seems to be the best if you buy a master socket, and just put on a 2 lead wire with the right plug for the socket at that location. Could you please be more exact on what you need? E.G. UK telephone for use in Norway......etc. Regards dsk |

I don't know if this solves it? http://www.multitel.co.uk/france.html
I would have considered to bring a 1 μF capacitor to put into the telephone if the ringer's not working. Maybe this is better: http://www.reveal.co.uk/index.php?ma...gh7sotcjprj6r6 Or this: http://www.voiptalk.org/products/RJ1...Ring+Capacitor dsk Last edited by dagskarlsen; 26th Feb 2011 at 8:30 pm.
