Default B9A valve base size

Just thought I would mention this topic, for all of you that are already aware I apologise.
I just purchased a new valve base (ECC83) for the Blackbox that I’m restoring.
I removed the original faulty McMurdo base but could not insert the new one.
The Original base has a diameter of about 18mm, the new one about 22mm.
So just be aware of this if you intend to do any restoration.
There is information on this site giving full details of valve base dimensions which I found rather late in the day.
Cheers
John
PS. I have posted a request in the Wanted Section

I have seen a difference in ones I have used, dependant on whether the base is fixed from below or above the chassis (ie the base has smaller diameter at the bottom). I don't repair/ refurbish much to have experience in this for such purposes.

Thank you for the link Frank. You have probably read the discussion on the two different sizes, I note that Langres don’t give dimensions but they look right. I’ve been lucky as a Forum member is sending me a suitable one. Thanks again Frank.
Cheers
John
