It was found on the stage. Mike and/or the buyer said it was a green crate so we were all looking for that, but it turned out to be a black box. These things happen, especially during the hectic collection period when we are already fairly exhausted.

I'm so pleased that was easily resolved. I think the big surprise in the auction for me, was the amount that that box of ECC8X valves sold for - £650! It wasn't if it was full of 83's either.

another good day - thanks to all the organisers and helpers! I managed to get rid of nearly everything I took and only came back with some caps from the BVWS stand - a record for me!
I left before the end of the auction, so I'm hoping the results will be published on the BVWS site?
Thanks again
Andy

They will in due course. That tends to get updated about once a year.

An exhausting but rewarding day and I think special thanks should go to Jeremy (Pamphonic) for helping us out on the B&B as we were down one regular (Barrie).

His cool head and sense of humour was just the ticket at busy times.

Thanks Jeremy

And thanks to Andy AJS37 for bringing the EKCO Princess my only actual purchase of the day despite the high quality throughout the hall and in the auction.

The sellers and buyers were very generous with gifts to the society and museum.

And Mike...... he was on fire in the auction

Cheers

Mike T

That was me Paul, and you’re more than welcome. You certainly looked a chap who was in need of a drink as I figure its thirsty 'ole work on stage hauling the lots around

Everyone involved in the Swapmeet certainly did a cracking job as always.

Just trawling the forum for the service info the kit I bagged at the auction. The Bush SRP52 and VTR330, along with the Sony 7F-74L and VTR330 service data are proving to be tad more scarce than expected as they appear not to be on the VRSD DVD, although there is some info on the forum, which will prove useful.

Regards
Terry

I certainly did, thank you! It was hot up on the stage under the lights...

I have manufacturer's data for the Bush SRP52 in the new stuff that's not online yet, but not the others yet. I'll PM you.
