Thanks all for the reminder to do this. It was last done 3 years ago but all fine now for another 5.

I did as Graham. I went to 'manage personal details' and saved. I can understand that if you don't need to change anything it is a little bit counterintuitive.

I couldn't remember when I had last done the process - turns out it was 2017.

I wish I'd read this before logging in the Ofcom site, finding my login no longer worked as they changed the software in 2016, setting myself up a new login and then searching for the button to press which is nowhere to be seen. I then tried changing my details, nothing changed. So I contacted through the chat line to be told I was OK to May 2025, merely by logging in I have no idea how, oh well!!

Post #21 updated to reflect changes in OFCOM's website.

Can someone try it please and confirm it works.

Thanks.

I just tried it and it works.

The new "modern" style makes it much harder to work it I would say.
It looks like the best way is to edit your address/phone details - which at first sight do not have EDIT buttons - because they are all in one lump.
You must actually ask to EDIT it and then say UPDATE - which luckily is not clever enough to realise that you didn't actually change anything (so not greyed out).

It might be better if they just had a REVALIDATE button near the start!

According to this webpage there's a "Verify My Details" button, but I can't find it:-

https://www.ofcom.org.uk/manage-your...eur-radio-info

Click on "How long is the licence valid for?"

I missed revalidating by well over 5 years as I'm not active and didnt realise it was necessary. I rang them and they said it wasnt a problem, and that they wouldnt rescind a license anyway. He said it was just to give them a rough idea of how many ham licenses were still in use, nothing sinister.
The 'Licensing Dashboard' tab shows the date of validation.
Cheers
Phil

I did mine a few weeks ago, purely for nostalgia, and didn't have a problem.

I've just checked it now and it reports:

Thanks for the reminder. My last update was August 2018 apparently, probably prompted by a similar post!.

I couldn't remember my password, so i asked for a password reset. A link was sent to my email, but it wasnt a hypertext link so couldn't be clicked on. I had to copy and paste this enourmously long string of cobledegook into the brower and then it took me to the correct place to enter a new password. Then i could log-on.

Cheers

Actually, for security reasons, I don't think that is too bad. Read the email headers and make sure they all make sense before you go there.

Hi

All done, -it turned out that it was only December 2022 when I did it before
but I had forgotten it.
I have made a note where I keep the password that it was validated today,
so I can easily check if I think I need to do it again!

Kind regards
Dave
