Such a high proportion of familiar radio models there that I was close to looking around the flat to check that they hadn't gone missing (well, some did when I sold off half the colony in 2018, but that was in Newcastle so it's unlikely those have made it down to Norfolk). Fortunately there's nothing compelling enough and portable enough to lure me to Diss.

Some nice stuff there, should make good money.
I watched a Quad II/22 setup in a banana box fetch £510 plus fees in a local offline auction a few weeks ago, so these boxed should make their estimate at least.

Lots 7430 onwards include some interesting 70s and 80s Yaesu gear, 7444 is some Heathkit receivers, transceivers and monitor scopes, and 7466 is an Eddystone 840A which would make a nice living-room or bedside general listening receiver.
Were I not sticking to my 'one in one out' rule regarding old gear, I might have taken a punt on one of the Heathkit lots.

I have no hope of attending, but some interesting Amateur Radio Equipment, I think I would also have had a punt on some of that Heathkit gear if it had been local.

Pity the auctioneer has made such a bad job of sorting the radio lots with pieces that belong together split into different lots

£650 for those - I think mine went for £800 seven years ago in Newcastle - and £500 for the Beau Decca, I bought the innards of one for 15s. in about 1971, sadly someone must have had another use for the cabinet. Looks as though just about everything found new homes, but at modest prices for almost all the domestic radios.

For once I managed to resist placing any bids. A good job really as I would have struggled to resist at those low hammer prices! I suspect those lots only appearing in the catalogue a few days before the auction won't have helped. Most of the radios etc have now appeared with a local dealer.

The Yaesu and Heathkit ham gear sold surprisingly low; likewise the Eddystone 840A.
Old brown woody/bakelite MW/LW broadcast-radios have finally adjusted to market-reality and are selling for peanuts.
