Re: Solartron CD 1400 Oscilloscope Refurbishment
(My apparently 'orange' one turns out to be an orange gel in front of a screen which is more or less bright blue-white. I also have a green one somewhere, which might be similar).

Re: Solartron CD 1400 Oscilloscope Refurbishment
My CD1400 has a CRT phosphor that gives a green trace with a long (couple of seconds) blue afterglow. There is no colour filter in front of the tube, just a clear graticule.

Re: Solartron CD 1400 Oscilloscope Refurbishment
Before refitting Board 3, decided to monitor the 2 regulator neons.
V301 voltage is 84.8V and V302 is 87.4V (V302 a little higher than spec). The current drain on V301 at min brightness is 0.25mA and at max brightness increases to 1.11mA, with normal viewing brightness the current is around 0.27mA Disconnecting A3U reduces the current to a very low value, but toggling +ve/-ve The current drain on V302 (the lower not visible trace) at min brightness is 0.25mA and at max brightness increases to around 0.9mA Disconnecting A3U reduces the current (once again) to a very low value but toggling +ve/-ve, I disconnected A3U by mistake , meant to have disconnected A3L.
