Default Re: What are these devices?

Well, there may be another explanation here.

Pro Audio manufacturers often put their own numbers on semiconductors. Sometimes, they are standard components, renumbered, and sold at a premium price, but not always.

The HK Audio VX2400 amplifier originally had Motorola MJ15022 and MJ15023 output devices fitted. Some time later, Motorola decided to substantially change the base and emitter characteristics of this device. If you tried to fit the new Motorola devices in one of these amplifiers, the bias drifted up over about ten minutes, and the amplifier went bang (in a very big way).

To get around this, HK had devices made using the original dies, but marked them with their own in-house numbers;

YS6900 = MJ15022
YS6927 = MJ15023
