ION Vcr2Pc video recorder
Been given an odd type of VCR recently.
Its an ION unit which seems to have a USB Socket on the front . Reading between the lines it seems to be a unit which converts VHS video to PC directly? Anyone had any experience of this unit? |

Re: ION Vcr2Pc video recorder
I haven't seen this before.
Did it come with a device driver and capture software? There's a Youtube demo here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMOxt__P6u0 but the guy omits to say what version of Windows he is using.

Re: ION Vcr2Pc video recorder
That name is the same as the record decks that go straight into a pc.

Re: ION Vcr2Pc video recorder
Looks to be a mono playback only unit, likely 2 head, probably made by funai. I would not expect particularly good performance from it.

Re: ION Vcr2Pc video recorder
You may be able to download the software from Ion's website, I got the software for my Ion USB turntable from their site.

Re: ION Vcr2Pc video recorder
I will run it up and see if it actually works as a video player first then offer it up on the forum as in all honesty its not my thing .
