WaveMeter MG1E
As anyone any ideas as to what this was used on and possibly the year?
Thank you

Re: WaveMeter MG1E
That Lawrence looks very much like it thank you.I was unsure whether it was an "I" or a 1.
Not sure how the tube works unless it is a neon.

Re: WaveMeter MG1E
Aye David, an early 1920's Wavemeter. Similar to the one I raised a thread about back on 18/2/2018 "Tottenham Wireless Society". Mine sourced its EM frequencies from a Buzzer.
A great find you've got. Regards, David |

Re: WaveMeter MG1E
According to Google pics, the Porthcurno Museum has a wavemeter that appears to be the same, might be worth contacting them:

Re: WaveMeter MG1E
I've no idea of the value. My Tott.WS one was given me by a BVWS chum who had had it in his garage for years.
Can't remember ever seeing one on eBay. Maybe Mike Barker might have an idea, with his swapmeet expertise. Still, I reckon these old(90+ years) T/Eq. items are worth restoring, even if its a tribute to the joiners who made the lovely mahogany cabinets & the radio tradesmen who(in many cases) handbuilt the components & fitted everything together.
