I have buyed this old pocket voltmeter,
you see before - and after the cleaning with fork-spoons silver polish.

Hi Martin, a good area of the hobby to v sit as they do not take up too much room and there were a great variety of these small testers produced.

Amazing. I particularly like how it's cleaned the table

I have used a paste called "Metal Cleaner" to clean tarnish off copper, brass and nickel. Easy to use and doesn't seem to attack metal or plastics. Problem is my pot is about 25 years old and nearly all gone. It came from Amway - an American based multilevel marketing company and they don't seem to do it any more. It required no rubbing and was really good for getting into milled or knurled surfaces.
Anyone know of a suitable substitute?

hello,
I think the old Voltmeter is Nickel-plated.
Another one, what is true silver plated, you see here, made by Baduf.
It was grey and ugly when I found it.

I use a cleaning fluid, "Hagerty", it`s a polish paste for silver forks + spoons.
Buyed in "Schlecker" market, ~ 6€

the pocket Voltmeters are roundabout 80 years old.
