Marconi TF2104 information
Does anyone have any information relating to the Marconi TF2104 Ultra Low Distortion Oscillator? Ideally service manual but even a specification sheet would help.
Thanks JoeD |

Re: Marconi TF2104 information
Can't help you with the information I'm afraid but the TF2104 is a badge-engineered AWA G233 oscillator. You should have more luck searching for that.

Re: Marconi TF2104 information
I have found a picture and specification of the TF2104 from the 1980 catalogue. It carries the footnote: "imported from Australia".
At that time, Marconi seemed to be trying to catch up with semiconductor based equipment, and badged engineered a number of machines. Thanks to Dickie for telling us that the TF2104 was from AWA G233. The other ones I have noted are: A FET multimeter from Poland TF2650 = Conway 639 (in Canada). A pulse generator TF2025 from Venner/Malden Electronics 728. An audio oscillator TF2103 = VennerTSA625 A Timer Counter TF24126 = improved Venner/Malden 7737 A Power Supply, 30v 1A TF2150 = Weir MiniReg 401. I attch the page from the 1980/81 which gives a specification for the TF2104. wme_bill. |

Re: Marconi TF2104 information
Hi all,
Marconi certainly imported Amalgamated Wireless Australasia gear from Australia and sold it on as AWA equipment, as the company I worked for at the time bought some. I have to admit never having seen the G233 renamed as the Marconi. Did it actually come on the market as such? I have AWA G232, G233 and F242A as my basic hi quality measuring gear. All beautifully made, very high quality and very reliable. John |
