Within the blue circle looks like on the left a plugin for the PSU (Mains transformer, contact cooled rectifier etc) On the right maybe a plugin for the loudspeakers etc.

Top chassis view of supposedly a Blaupunkt Arkansas Delux chassis:

Brilliant Lawrence! That's cleared that one up. I've also downloaded a substitute diagram that has the same valve line up. Hopefully the circuit will bear some resemblance. I will bear it in mind as I repair this that it may not be like for like.

The diagram I've downloaded as suggested by Graham and Lawrence in earlier posts. The Arkansas diagram Graham suggested for the ARKANSAS 43400 defaults to the download of the Grenada diagram as also recommended. So fingers crossed it all cross references ok.
Many thanks for all input and help so far.
Dave.

Oh marvellous !
I used to work for a company that sold a lot of Blaupunkt products back in the 60's
With their multiple loudspeakers and unusual valves eg ECLL800 they where streets ahead of any British radiograms of the period. You are lucky to own one good luck with the restoration.

Not so lucky if it has dud ECLL800s, though!

Edit- checked, not quite so expensive but still ECL86s
