Default Yaesu FRG7 Service

Hi, need to find someone in the Kidderminster area that would service my radio and fit a set of new electrolytics and adjust it. Thank you for looking.

Can anyone help out with this? I need a repair shop or a radio amateur to line up my old FROG 7, must be local to me in Kidderminster. Also all all messages must be done on this page. As I am a new member PM's are not allowed as yet.

Default Yaesu FRG7 Service

Need some one local in the Worcestershire area to take this job on.

Good radio receiver and it's been recapped, but now and then it's closing down. I can hear sounds from the speaker but nothing I do will stop them except turning the set off and on again. Then it works fine for some time before it goes like it again.

Ken Kendall said he would look and fix it but there's no way I can contact Ken.

You could try asking Steve at Radiocraft - see under ‘Services Offered’. You would have to take the receiver to him near Evesham.

Looking at Steve's website, it would appear that he does not repair sets made after 1962.

Ah, thanks Graham.

Another possibility might be Nigel at Trident Audio Visual just outside Kidderminster. Nigel mainly repairs TVs and modern electronics, but he’s also a radio ham as well as a widely experienced and very competent engineer. However I know he is always extremely busy and has to be selective about what he takes on.

Good luck,
