Default AW43-88 to A47-13w

I always got the impression, perhaps mistakenly, that the A47-13W was basically the AW43-88 with squared off corners,as far as I remember the height and width of the two types are much the same. Would the substitution of an AW43-88 with an A47-13W be possible? I don't want to do it just wondering if it would work
