Default Philips EL3302A/15P - Different Colour Logo Badges

I finally gave in and bought one of the later models of the EL33XX series, the EL3302A/15P, to add to my collection.

Then, not long after, another one came up for sale at a very low price, ideal for spares but I noticed something about it that seemed different...the Logo badge was Reddish/Brown and not the normal Black.

Both are models: EL3302A/15P, with Factory Codes WT 03 (Made in Austria).

The black badged having Date Code:336 (1973 Week 36), S/No: 411974.
Whereas,the reddish/brown badged having Date Code:440 (1974 Week 44), S/No:191855.

Anyone come across this reddish/brown badged one before and know of a reason why?

Could have something to do with the production date (week 40 of 1974 seems quite late for this model).

One of the Spanish made EL3302B/76P examples found in http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/philips..._el_3302b.html has a production date of week 1, 1974 and also a red badge.

Could simply be a remarketing excerise... the BBC paid thousands the have their logo updated - not that any could tell the difference at first glance!

Can I ask why some EL3302 machines have clear cassette housing lids and some black
