Default Hanging bracket for Smiths electric clocks

Happened across this the other day, having never seen such a thing in all my time of collecting. It appears to be a purpose-made hanging bracket for early Smiths electric wall clocks. Thinking about it, I suppose this might have been supplied with all Smiths clocks when new, but lost with the passage of time, particularly whenever these clocks were taken out of service.

Must admit that I was actually tempted to buy the clock in question, which wasn't in very good condition, just to get a proper assessment of the bracket and to have a go at replicating it in my workshop. In the end I didn't, however.

Anyone else come across one of these?

That's the bit that is always missing, along with the flex connector.
I have ONE example, and at least four clocks that are intended to have it.

Interesting one of the Bracket's fixing holes is elongated allowing it to be adjusted to be truly horizontal. Also Pins as a second level of security against falling, should the clock not have properly been located in its fixing slots.

Nice to see the Designer was thinking, which was the norm in those days.

It occurs to me that a couple of these ubiquitous objects might simplify construction of a replica bracket.
