Default Freeview Test Card no longer working in Oxford?

Hi,

I seem to be unable to get the Freeview test card to work any more, as described in the Sticky Thread above.

https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...ad.php?t=46805

Has this service now been discontinued?
Attached is a screenshot of the page that I now get.
I'm using the service from Beckley, Oxford.
Thanks.

Peter.

Frank,

Unless there is a way to find it in the menu, I think this service has been stopped?

Peter.

Is it possible that the changes and possible closing of the Red button that this is part of the fall out from that decision?

Are you using an HD capable Freeview tuner. Maybe it is only available on them now.

From Digital Spy:-

Quote:
In answer to your question as at 28 Nov 2019, afternoon, you can get a test card as follows: tune to Freeview ch. 250, press Yellow within 30 seconds of seeing a screen with some white text on, , tune down a channel, tune back up to ch. 250, wait for a screen of regional text to appear, then press green. Test Card W appears and fills your screen. It is a slightly compressed image I've been told. The above process only works on a Freeview receiver capable of receiving Freeview HD, so post-2007/8, I believe
I haven't tried it though.

Both my TV’s don’t have a HD tuner, so that’s the answer but it did work at one time, well after the date 2007/8, in fact one of the TV’s was bought 2010.

It’s not a problem for myself, I have checked it in the past but not recently until today, I can manage without it.

Just tried it on an HD STB and an HD TV. It doesn't work.
