Default TV22 line output - in depth

Dr. Hugo Holden (previously Argus25 on this forum) has just completed an exhaustive analysis of the Bush TV22 line output stage and transformer, with measurements and waveforms. Also included is a discussion of the TV22 'interlace problem' and its correction.

This useful resource can be accessed here: http://worldphaco.com/uploads/BUSH_TV22.pdf

Awesome ! Though I had to read one bit several times, rubbing my eyes in disbelief ... it mentions replacing a Mullard CRT with a Mazda one !

Must admit I'm not happy with the cracked tar on my TV22 LOPT, but not sure I'm brave enough to tackle it.

TTFN,
Jon

Does anyone know where to get a 2500V 470pF dipped silver mica capacitor? This is to replace C34 (on Trader sheet 1091). I could only find it in a couple of US suppliers and the shipping costs are very high. Delivery time is not the best either. Thanks!

You may be best emailing Hugo, if you look at the latest info from Cornell Dubilier they do not seem to produce that value / voltage capacitor any more.

Thanks Stephen. I actually found some, although 5% ones, at Arrow in the US. Already have them with me. I also got in touch with Hugo.

Thanks, Steve, for posting the link. But most importantly, thanks to Hugo (Argus 25) for your superb article!
