Actually, there are spell checkers which can correct (some) homophones, but they need to do context analysis so aren't suitable for on the fly spell checking. English is a difficult language in this respect, having a disproportionate number of homophones in common use.

As it has been confirmed that any spell checking members are getting in their browsers is nothing to do with the forum and everything to do with their browser software, and options for different browsers have been discussed too, it's time to close this. Any further issues with browser spell checkers would be better in the Modern Technology section here or directly on the browser publisher's support forum or whatever.
Thank you for the comments about the amount of work us mods and admins have to do.... and you don't see even half of it! |
