Tandberg model 62 (half track) tape recorder
Hi All,
I was given a Tandberg model 62 (half tack) valve reel to reel tape recorder a while ago, which looks to be pretty good shape. Before I get it on the bench, I’m asking is it any good and worth looking at and restoring? Thankfully I have the pukka service manual, and looking at the circuit and specification it does come over as quite competent machine. Regards Terry. |

These are very good indeed, BUT, need the capacitors replacing on the amplifiers as a matter of course - see a recent thread re this. After that the performance is superb...
