Question Cossor Console Radio Identity

I remember owning a Cossor radio in the late '60s.
It was floorstanding with the top of the front control panel sloping back. About 20" wide, 40" tall.

Had a super sound from a large round speaker below the control panel.
I know it had a OM1 or OM10 valve in.

I would love to find one now, though most must have been junked due to the size by now. I don't see it in the Radio Museum pages.

Any idea what it was?

Boater Sam.

Think what you are after is a Cossor 480k.

Ah, thanks again jonnybear, bulls eye, give the man a prize.

Not in the Radio Museum then? Not a popular set?

Thanks Mods for changing my misleading title to 'Console', hope it caused no confusion.

Now the question is, are there any in the collections?

Would it be safe to assume that the chassis is similar to the table top models 494, 500, 520s? The dials are obviously square on these rather than horizontal rectangular but I think that the valve line ups are similar Cossor valves.

It was a smart looking set, if a bit large for some!

Boater Sam.

After further thought, I think that the chassis was the one used in the 463 table radio, same knob and dial layout.

Not got one of those either!
