Default Philips 702 antennna connector

Hello,

I have had a Philips RH 702 radio for a year. Daily life has been good with it but recently it has had difficulty keep channels tuned. Maybe something is breaking down or it could use an antenna. I have used it without external antenna because it has mysterious antenna connector I haven't been able to recognize or connect. Does someone know name or pinout for connector like in the attached picture?
Thanks for any information.

I think that is really TWO sockets on one assembly, and is designed to accept TWO separate plugs, one for AM and one for FM.

As a temporary measure, you should be able to poke short wires into the holes on the socket as a test to see if connecting some kind of external aerial improves matters.

Nick is absolutely right. Below is a rather poor photo of the FM plug. The AM one has two metal pins without the dummy plastic one in the middle.

I had a couple of indoor aerials with these connectors many years ago, but they are long gone now. A pity, as I now have a Tandberg receiver which has exactly the same connectors.

As a temporary measure you will find that the perennial standby of the carefully whittled matchstick works well!
