Default Ekco SH 25 dial wiring

Hello,

Question about the wiring of the Ekco SH 25. Does anybody have pictures of how the wiring of the sender/ dial and dial knob must be connected. It's a puzzle for me.

Thanks

Lewis

Is the chain missing?

The Dial on an EKCO SH25 (Trees Receiver) is a straight forward chain from the centre of the dial sprocket to the end of the tuning capacitor shaft sprocket. Never known one to be missing or broken but there's always a first I guess!

Here is a snip of the chain in situ

The service information from whence this snip came is available here:

Cheers

Thanks for your reaction,

My SH25 doesn't have a chain but a thin thread beginning on the scale and ending on the sender knob on under the radio. See attachment.

Apologies the information I linked was for the RS3.

I don't have the restringing information for the SH25 to hand and all My EKCO including my SH25 sets are in storage.

Hopefully another member can help you.

Cheers

Hi,

I've been digging around for information on this for a while, not found much so far! Best I've seen was this website, there are some photo's, but they are quite low resolution, might be worth contacting the owner?

From what I can see it's strung using dial cord, round the pointer, then down to the drum on the tuning capacitor, then to the tuning knob, how exactly this is done I don't know!

Regards,
Lloyd
