Oh yes we all knew that Ken, not I was just about to ask "fine but who is Maria?" when I worked it out from the Metropolitan aspect of the thread

Al,

Those images from Metropolis, near the end of that Queen radio ga ga video are the ones they used in the concert with Adam Lambert.

Since we have digressed slightly into music & machines, you might find this very interesting, if you have not seen it already, it is amazing what you can do with plywood & ball bearings:

Hello Hugo,

Thank you! That is a genius of a maker-musician right there! I can see an oblique relevance to this forum as this is an analogue pulse system, for want of a better description. The period is kept reasonably consistent (dictated by the turning of the handle which dictates the rate at which the balls impinge on a resonator/ resonant strings. ) I love this kind of astounding creativity .

I need to watch Metropolis! I’ll try to see it in the next couple of days while I am back in hosp... I feel a great sense of anticipation .

I promised I’d get building V2.0 as soon a possible and this is just before a test firing sequence. I am not in the picture ; I found s suitable ‘volumteer’
