Default CNHSS (Croydon) talk - Mullard

Paul Sowan is giving a talk to the Croydon Natural History and Scientific Society on 'The Mullard Radio Valve Company' on Monday 8th October at 7.45pm. It will be held at the United Reformed Church hall which is in Addiscombe Grove, almost adjacent to East Croydon train station (also served by tram and bus). All are welcome to come, although a contribution towards costs is always appreciated.

Paul's father was Fred Sowan who worked for Mullards for many years. He spent some time as the editor of the various technical publications, and became the company's archivist and historian. Those with the Summer 2005 issue of the BVWS Bulletin will find an article by Fred on the Mitcham works. Paul's talk is not intended to be technical but will be based on his father's unpublished (and possibly in some cases unpublishable!) reminiscences.

If you would like further information please feel free to send me a PM.

Edward
