Default General Electric BC2720

Does anyone have some more information about this radio? I bought it with two Gecophone tubes: L410 and P415. Are these the right tubes for this radio?

Hi Koste, a lot of the Gecophones could be run with 2, 4 or 6 volt valves. They may originally have been bright emitters (if there is a filament rheostat for each valve they most likely were), but can be fitted with more modern dull emitters. The circuit is usually quite easy to trace. The biggest problem is usually with connections that corrode over the years. Clean everything and re-flow all soldered joints.
It should then work.

Good Luck, Ed
