Armstrong Audio still going....
Well that was a surprise... just happened to find their website: https://www.armstrong-audio.com/
Although it appears that they only do repairs and sell cups of coffee. Mark Last edited by AC/HL; 9th Nov 2020 at 1:25 am. Reason: Link added |

Re: Armstrong Audio still going....
A nice website and heart warming to see something of their history left even if in a very much reduced capacity. I have a soft spot for Armstrong having a rebuilt a 521 and a 625 both still going strong and sounding great.

Re: Armstrong Audio still going....
Only reason I found the website ( thanks to mod for putting link on) is I've a 521 on the bench at the moment.
Sounds great when working and plenty of volume. Just needs a bit more tlc to get it running reliably. Mark |

Re: Armstrong Audio still going....
The edge connectors on mine needed cleaning and gently bending to improve the grip and a lot of the caps were shot.....sounds very nice though once done and yes surprisingly full sounding. It did take a lot of fettling.

Re: Armstrong Audio still going....
Having a few Armstrong amps Nostalgia got the better of me and I ordered a t shirt. Not the cheapest but it is a very high quality feel to it. No affiliation whatsoever but might be a nice gift idea for someone.

Re: Armstrong Audio still going....
I just wondered if this is the same company based in London that issued the attached 1938 catalogue.
Regards Stan.
