Moderator approval
Hi Paul, I see I now get the message "your post will not be visible until moderator approval".
I thought that posts normally appeared immediately for long standing forum members, or is moderation still applied to all posts in the Service Requests section? Thanks, Ed |

Re: Moderator approval
All posts and threads in Services Wanted and Services Offered require moderator approval. It is the only way we can keep adequate control over them, otherwise they would have to be removed completely.
This is stated in the sticky threads at the top of the sections. Sticky threads often contain useful information about posting in the section and should be read first. |

Re: Moderator approval
I am very much a "free speech" man myself, when it come to this forum the light touch moderators do make it a very good one.

Re: Moderator approval
Without moderation only chaos can ensue! If that is the correct word.

Re: Moderator approval
In those sections people should only post if they are wanting repair services or offering repair services. Too many of the threads got replies with people speculating on what the fault might be and how the person could repair it themselves etc, and we spent too much time deleting them. Having all posts require moderation works best there - though I don't think either section works very well really.
