Default Dittel FSG5 transceiver

I've come across a few of these for sale on ebay recently. The name sounds vaguely familiar but I'm sure I've never seen one of their products in the flesh, so to speak. Were they, or are they still, made for any particular industry or application ? The bright yellow colour suggests conspicuity of the handsets was important.

Thankyou.

Yes, they are VHF AM airband transceivers, quite pricey too. A Google search had lots of hits. Being yellow may indicate they were emergency equipment, possibly?
