Default 30's electric fires

I have the outer heavy cast iron cases of a couple of 1930's electric fires if they are of any interest to someone. Free, do not want to post, but can take to Harpenden.
No electrical components remain but both are complete cases, front and back.

That would be a shame.

Could they perhaps be retrofitted with bits from a modern halogen heater?

Or turned into rather heavy "retro bluetooth speakers"?!

I rather like these as a project, but I'm no where near !

Maybe someone can drop them off with my friend in Hillingdon or Norwich as I'm visiting them in May anyway ?

Regards,

Han.

Hi Han,
you would be very welcome to them if you can sort out transport. I can hang on for a bit or possibly someone is going to Harpenden who can take them.

Cheers,
Tony

Thanks Tony,

I can try, but I've made some request in the past via the FCS and there was no responds !

I hope someone is willing to take them and could drop them off at either Hillingdon or Norwich or maybe even Westcliffe-on-Sea ?

Regards,

Han.

Han,
If someone could get them from Leicester to Oswestry (Shropshire) I could store them for you until late April/early May, when you are already dropping off the street lights and I am passing you that A21 cabinet. Might even try and hang onto one of them myself!
Regards,
Richard

Hallo Richard,

Thanks for the offer, but if all goes well then there is someone who's picking them up for me.

Regards,

Han.

If this works out, Han, please show us what you end up doing with them.

Many thanks for an easy pick-up, Tony. It helped that we were parked only 20m apart!

Thanks guys for doing this for me !!!

It is heart warming to see what some forum members are willing to do for one other.

I have some ideas what to do with them, but I have to see the fires "in the flesh" first.

Kind regards,

Han.

I have discovered the switches for these fires, so if you like Han I will post them to you at cost. PM sent.
