Default NV-370 Problem

It won't 'Switch on'. Well sometimes it does for a second if it's been unpugged for a while. Otherwise, the switch on the front does nowt except switch on an orange light if the timer button is pressed.

Any ideas folks?
What should the volts to earth of the power supply be?

Cheers,

Steve P.

I seem to remember that there were some very low value resistors that could cause this problem (0.1 ohm or so). Check in the power supply. They are used for current monitoring. Can't remember exact details now as it was sooooo long ago...!

Yes, agree with Richard, a big R on the vertical board at the back.

I had one where the replacement never lasted very long, never found out why.

I think it's a safety resistor in the power supply right hand side

Common problem, change the resistor.

An old favourite! The idler usually does a strange little 'dance' before it shuts down. Tiny white resistor. J.
