Default HMV 2001 record player

I'm restoring one of these novel record players. There is a lot of work to be done, both transformers are well and truly cooked!.

The question i have is regarding the deck.

The speed is selected by moving one of three rollers between the motor shaft and the jockey wheel.

There are some pictures.

Two of the pulleys have the rubber the same diameter, the third which I presume is for 78 has a smaller diameter.

All three and the jockey wheel have gone hard. Does anyone know the exact diameters of the small rubber wheels?

Great little RP. I have one in good nick but I can't find my calipers! I shall borrow a pair and come back.

I get 13.5mm for 45 and 33rpm and 11.4mm for 78.

Progress in fact nearly finished!

The transformers were rewound by Ed dinning, all other capacitor and resistors were replaced, amp works well.

All three turrets and the jockey wheel were rebuilt by terry's rubber roller.

I cleaned and relubicated the motor bearings, but despite it free running was running with low torque. A check on the voltage to the motor revealed it was around 95V rather than 110V, rearranging the wiring to/from the various taps to give me 120V to the motor sorted that out.

One little problem, I get sound when the cartridge is set to 78 but not from 33/45. I'm reluctant to open it up a I've never repaired anything like this before.

I'm worried that after i've fiddled with it, I'll get nothing. i did replace both stylus's.

Can anyone suggest anything?
