Re: Music While You Work
Hello,
Here is a page with a lot of digitized dutch albums: http://www.78toeren.nl/ Under the knob "muziek" there are a lot of dutch titles. Under the knob "fries-hoekje" there are a lot of "fries" titles (fries is a dutch dialect). Greetings, Bertus |

Re: Music While You Work
Depends upon the work. If i'm trying to concentrate, I find the music too distracting - I want to get into it and it puts me off the job in hand. If the task requires little concentration, then all kinds of music gets played, but definately no internet radio!
Cheers Aub

Re: Music While You Work
I have just come across this discussion. I am the person who posted the 'Music While You Work' broadcasts on my 'masters of melody' website. I am glad that most of you enjoyed them! I have a large collection of these and other programmes. Unfortunately, in order to be 'legal' I have to confine myself to programmes which are over fifty years old - most of which were recorded at a very slow speed from Medium wave, hence the less than brilliant sound quality. In about 18 months I shall be able to include better quality recordings - (vhf and at a faster speed). I hope that you will continue to go to my site as new programmes will be regularly added.
Whilst my musical taste may seem antiquated to some, there are still plenty of people around who enjoy tuneful music (as is apparent from postings on this topic.) Brian |

Re: Music While You Work
Indeed we do, Brian. I still keep a large collection of 78s dating from the 1920s to the 1940s, and enjoy listening to the tunes. I was also fortunate enough to grow up in the 1960s and musicality was still in evidence then, although my favourite toy from age 9 onwards was my wind-up gramophone...
