Default My MR70 is almost done

Picked up an old Ampex that was in semi good condition but couldn't pull tape.Luckily I found a gentleman that knew everything about these machines. There are so few working units out there. Most of these the electronics are usedfor other uses. The MR70 was the only nuvistor based tape machine ever built.
This machine is a rare 1/4" 2 track there is still some work to done but i am so happy that all the relays, switches, reel motors operate.

The relays and switches were the biggest problem but that was overcome.
You can hear the positive action as the tape switches are actuated.

I had some help to get this going luckily there are some really good people on this earth .

Check out the video and enjoy this old girl go through the paces.
