Default Noisy cassette player

hi all i have a sony cassette player fairly old plays perfect but the motor hums
very loud, any ideas please ?

Without hearing the actual noise, hard to be sure. Often motors were rubber mounted to the chassis for noise isolation. If the rubber mounts go hard, the motor noise can be transmitted through the chassis and case.
