Re: lokking for info on a 1950s british Philco bakelite 4band
Hello
The Philco A547B is a four band superhet with a bakelite case with flat front and sides, with the dial glass in the centre at the top. Its release date was 1947. Trader sheet 890 has a picture and circuit information. Valve line up is 6K8G, 6K7G, 6Q7G, 6V6G, R52. A picture is here http://www.vintage-radio.com/recent-...lco-a547b.html Does this look anything like it? Ron |

Hi Rich,
I guess $70 for one in good condition is fair. A step up transformer should work fine. The set is rated at 50 watts so use one which can easily cope with this. You can buy the service data via email at http://www.service-data.com/ . |
