Question TF2700: variant ident. by serial number?

Marconi TF2700. There seems to be at least two variants of this instrument: the early model (1962), which uses GET102 and OC200 transistors; the later one (1974) which uses ACY17 and BCY72 transistors. (There may be other variants, but I could not find any references to such.)

My question is this. If the serial number (of format nnnnnn/mmm) of a particular TF2700 is known, it is then possible to identify which build type it is of the two?

All replies will be much appreciated.
Al.
