Default Plessey Connectors "Pinpointer" wall chart - previous forum post search

Hi all,

Some time ago, I found on this forum (and saved) the attached images. These were shared by someone during a discussion over Plessey connectors (maybe Breeze or Mk4). But I didn't save a link to the source, or the persons name!

I am struggling to find the source thread of these images, and the originator.

I would like to ask if I could borrow/buy this wall chart to scan it properly on my flatbed scanner and present it as part of my research into Plessey connectors. Here are my web pages so far:

Breeze: https://www.scottbouch.com/mcfs/ligh...sey-breeze.htm

Mk4: https://www.scottbouch.com/mcfs/ligh...lessey-mk4.htm

AN (Mil-C-5015): https://www.scottbouch.com/mcfs/ligh...mil-c-5015.htm

If anyone can help to locate the original forum post, or the person, it will be very much appreciated!

Many thanks, Scott.

Hi Scott, try and find a copy of the STC/ITT big yellow catalogue from the 70's/80's.
This is full of connector details, part numbers etc from all the major makers

I did have a rummage around to try to find the old thread but sadly no joy.

It was probably in a reply to a sales or want thread so long since deleted.

Cheers

HI Mike,

Thanks for taking a look, two heads are better than one!

Hopefully it was a regular post, and may still exist! It was in February when I downloaded the images, going by the datestamp on the files.

If only I'd saved the link.....

Cheers, Scott.

Maybe some info added:

Hello guys some of the info like the EMER/REME I already downloaded and printed in the past. I use this document for assembling new mains and antenna/audio cables for AVO RACAL Solartron ReesMACE Pye and of course Murphy (my passion) I use the original NATO/Plessey tools to do this. Also the sockets of course. The original tools are also mentioned in the B.R. 1617 handbook Murphy B40 handbook. and in the LMG catologues and accesories catalogue.

I bought al lot of these connectors and sockets at rallies and at electrojumble in the past. (Pity this specialist on this matter had to stop its business and unfortunately had to close down its doors.

kind regards and many thanks for sharing this

QWENIX - That is fantastic information, thank you! A scan of an actual catalogue with part numbers, accessories and all!

I will write to the owner of casa.nz to ask permission to reproduce this catalogue pdf on my web page.

Many thanks again, Scott

That is indeed a very useful catalogue, not one I had seen before!

In fact, there are many more brochure scans to be found in the parent directory:

What a wonderful website!!
